HINGEGLASS

Privacy Policy

ATTA Product Labs LLC

Effective 12 September 2026 · Updated 14 September 2026
HingeGlass 1.0.0, 1.1.0 and 1.2.0

HingeGlass is a native Android home and fold-animation app. It uses app information, workspace layout, preferences and supported hinge/display information locally on your device. Version 1.1.0 separates the native Home workspace from Settings and fold-animation Preview.

HingeGlass has no account, ads, analytics, backend or network-upload feature. The Android app does not request Internet permission.

Information used on your device

Optional local frame-metrics export in 1.1.0

You may explicitly start a bounded Home frame-metrics capture and choose to save the report. This writes a JSON file to Android Downloads. It includes measured frame timing, capture timestamps, app version, window size and density, the Home-effect setting and device/build metadata such as the Android build fingerprint. It does not include your app inventory, workspace component list, hinge trace, screenshots or the contents of other apps.

The app does not transmit this file. You decide whether to keep it, delete it using a file manager, or share it through another app. If you choose to share it, that receiving app and recipient handle the information you send. Version 1.0.0 does not offer this Home export action.

Optional local fold probe and calibration in 1.2.0

Developer alignment profiles store viewport size, density, rotation and reference-grid preferences locally. They do not contain hardware serials and do not infer a physical cover or inner screen identity.

You can start a local fold-continuity recording for up to five minutes. It records hinge sensor metadata, raw and normalized samples, timestamps, window and display geometry/capabilities, activity lifecycle changes, app version and device model/build. It does not record app inventory, accounts, hardware serials, screenshots or other apps’ content. Lifecycle gaps remain gaps; diagnostics do not prove physical folding or simultaneous display support.

Recordings remain in private app storage until app storage is removed. You may explicitly export a completed trace to Downloads. Exported files can survive uninstall and must be deleted separately. No recording is automatically exported or transmitted; any later sharing is your choice.

Collection, sharing and permissions

HingeGlass does not send app inventory, preferences, hinge samples or diagnostics to ATTA Product Labs LLC or an analytics or advertising service. None of the covered versions automatically exports or shares diagnostics. The optional 1.1.0 Downloads action is a local file export under your control, not telemetry or an upload to the developer.

The app does not capture the content of other apps or use an AccessibilityService. It does not request camera, microphone, location, advertising-ID or broad all-packages permission.

Choosing an app from Home or All apps opens that app. Choosing the online privacy policy opens your browser. Those apps and the browser operate under their own privacy practices. HingeGlass does not attach your app inventory or diagnostics to these actions.

Storage, retention and deletion

Saved settings, workspace pages, shortcut positions and favorites remain in HingeGlass private app storage until you change them, clear the app's storage through Android settings, or uninstall HingeGlass. Android backup is disabled for this app.

A report you explicitly save in Downloads is separate from private app storage and may remain after clearing app storage or uninstalling. Delete that exported file separately using Android Files or another file manager.

HingeGlass does not maintain a server-side account or a server copy of your local app inventory, preferences or hinge data. There is no HingeGlass account to delete.

Your choices

You can explore Manual preview without a hinge sensor or a default-home change. Selecting HingeGlass as your home app is an optional Android system action. You can cancel the selector or choose a different home app in Android's default-home settings at any time.

A second display surface is requested only after your action and only when Android exposes an available public presentation capability. Device capability information is not a promise that every foldable supports live angles or simultaneous displays.
